Chapter 4: Oh Happy Days!

It wasn't long into my afternoon nap when the labor pains kicked in. Panic and pain filled my whole body. "DREW!" I yell. "DREW THE BABY'S COMING!" I heard him dial a taxi and run across the house to reach me.

He walked over to help me. "Everything's going to be okay." He says. "Come on, I'll help you to the car."

Next thing I know, we're walking out of the hospital with a baby boy. A boy! It was a bit of a fuss over his name, but we finally settled on Mitchell. It was a painful experience to get him out but after I looked into his eyes I knew it was worth it.

He looked like me, but was a little tan like his father. I didn't think of Mitchell as a mistake like I use to, he was a living being. A soul Drew and me created. He was ours.

He didn't cry much, to my surprise. He wasn't as hard to take care of as I thought, either. We all slept soundly each night and met our humanly needs easily. Drew would cook for us and I would clean; did I mention he got a job? He was working his way up the Culinary career.

I have a loving fiance, a lovely-(ish) house, a beautiful son. What more could I ask for? I couldn't be happier.

Speaking of which, Mitchell absolutely adored his father. Drew would plan on playing for just a bit, but Mitchell would beg him to stay and play longer. It was like this every day before he left for work.

Beauty, however, didn't really think the best of Mitchell. She attacked him once and was locked outside for the rest of the night. He loves her though! I think she's just mad that he's getting more attention than her.

Then there's bedtime. "Goodnight, honey." I tell him. "Sweet dreams. I love you."

"Pwease stay!" He can barely speak, but on occasion he'll say a couple things.

"No, we can play tomorrow. I promise. Mommy has to sleep."

Every morning we'd practice his walking, but sometimes he'll think he's a dinosaur. It's the cutest thing ever! He has such a creative imagination. Mitchell picks up walking fast, actually. He walks quite often around the house.

And there are those mornings where Drew has to leave for work; Both me and Mitchell hate it. On the bright side, we get to spend the whole day together. Practice more talking, take a few steps, play all day. For 30 hours a week we'd just bond. I never knew how amazing a child could be.

Today we visited a beach strand.... He loved it here. We'd play in the sand then he'd beg me to pick him up and play some more. It made me feel like the luckiest person in the world. What did I do to deserve such happiness?

Before I knew it, my wedding day was here. I kept telling myself I was ready to marry Drew. I knew I wanted to; but maybe I wasn't ready. I love this man, I really do. Here I was, wearing this beautiful dress and a gorgeous ring about to marry the most amazing man on the planet. How could I not want to do this? I did! There was no turning back now. No more waiting. This was it.

The setting was beautiful. I haven't seen Drew once today and my day was already made. Just a little bit of socializing to pass time, then I could see him.

Time passed by slowly but eventually I could walk down the isle to the man of my dreams. My heart was pounding so hard. I was so scared.

"I love you." He says.

"I love you, too." And I meant it.

My least favorite part of weddings: The speeches. Drew's mother was up first.

"Drew, dear, ever since you were a little boy I've always dreamed that you would grow up to marry a beautiful woman and start a family. I was wrong, though. Because this woman is more than beautiful and I can tell you are the luckiest man alive to be hers. She's lucky to have you, too. Drew, you have grown into a wonderful man, beyond my expectations. And Belle, you are an amazing woman. Welcome to the family."

This is Drew's sister, by the way. It's weird that my first encounter with her was at our wedding.

"I remember when we were little and would go on 'adventures' around the town. We'd race to the top of tree's and build forts by the pond. I guess I'm sad to see that go. But I'm happy to see that you've moved on to a bigger and more mature adventure. One that only a man like you could perfect: A family. Belle you don't know how lucky you are to have my brother as a husband. Though it seems like he's lucky to have you, too. Congratulations."

"I'm not really the best at giving speeches, but if there's one thing I can say it's that I was lost and broken before I met Drew. I never knew that happiness could ever find it's path into my heart. But it did. It did the day I first talked to him. You've helped me see the brighter side of life. Now that we're married? I'm the luckiest girl in the world! I love you. And I always will."

"There are no words to explain how amazing you are, Belle. I know you're the type of person who looks down on themselves, but everybody else in this world thinks differently of you. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I know we didn't start out with the best of relationships but look where it's brought us! We are a happy married couple, and we will forever stay that way. I love you."

"Now, please make room for the newlyweds to have their first dance."

"I love you. Forever and always." He says.

"I love you, too." I tell him. "I always will."

Authors Note: You might have noticed that Belle's mom didn't give a speech at the wedding, well that's because she didn't show up. I invited her, too. So yes, she was initially suppose to be there but Sims was being stupid and didn't let her come. And Drew's dad was there, but he left before he could give a speech. =3=
